My Wines Direct Wine Club Review

, , , ,

After rating My Wines Direct highly for years, we finally had to stop recommending them in late 2011. Unfortunately it appears that they have gone out of business :-( We'll miss My Wines Direct and hope that they can reinvent themselves into an awesome wine club once again. Best of luck to the owner of My Wines Direct. I hope we see your wine club again soon.

OUT OF BUSINESS!

While My Wines Direct may be out of business, there are lots of other highly quality wine clubs to choose from. See our Top 10 Best Wines Clubs list to learn more.

Overall Rating: ★★★
The My Wines Direct Wine Club offers a 3 month and 6 month subscription service in which you can choose all reds, all whites or a blend of reds and whites. The wines come from award-winning boutique vineyards from California, Australia, Europe and South America.

Wine Quality: ★★★
We found the wine quality to be significantly higher than what you’ll find in a grocery store, but it wasn’t as good as the wine clubs listed above. We still recommend the wine club over the dozens of other ones that didn’t make it in the directory this year.

Wine Education: ★★★
If you’re looking for a high level of detail and education on the wines you receive and the vineyards they come from, then you may want to go with one of the wine clubs listed in our Top 10 Best Wine Clubs. The education is still very good, but just not as detailed as it could have been.

Pricing: ★★★★
At $16 a bottle, we feel the pricing is relatively low compared to the many other wine clubs we reviewed that didn’t make to this year’s list. Average wine club pricing is $15 to $30 a bottle, so we felt the pricing was excellent.
